Do you ever ask yourself questions like, “Who am I?” “What have I done with my life?’ or “Where am I headed”? Questioning who or where you are in life crop up from your feelings that you don’t have what it takes to succeed. You feel that right now you’re not complete as a person. For example, asking yourself questions such as, “Where am I headed” what you’re really asking is, “Why isn’t my life where I thought it would be”? You’re under the assumption that you’re not good enough or worthy of experiencing joy and happiness. Also, tossing around negative queries about your life keeps you stuck in a state of inadequacy, feeling helpless and unable to change your circumstances. It’s this train of thinking feeds feelings of low self-esteem.
The term, self-esteem is used to describe your sense of self-worth and self-regard. If you have a positive sense of self, you feel confident in your in your ability to make proper decisions and handle the consequences of your decisions. Also, you believe in your personal right to happiness, fulfillment as well as your ability for success. Self-esteem can influence every facet of your life, regardless to whether or not you have it. Simply stated, it’s the difference between someone being able to reach their full potential or continue wondering about what might have been.

The Problem: You constantly feel the need to prove yourself
Although you’ve accomplished a great deal and friends, family and co-workers respect you and your efforts, you continually create situations to gain their approval.
The Remedy: Say what’s on your mind. Your feelings aren’t, “right” or “wrong” they’re your feelings, so own them. . As, long as your intent isn’t to cause harm, practice saying what you think. If people get upset, that’s their choice. Don’t allow the reactions of others to define your behavior.
Take the time to focus on your achievements and strengths so that you can move forward without the need to prove anything to anyone. Choose to believe in yourself as opposed to the opinions and acceptance of others. It is your life, not someone else’s.
Problem: You Continue to Stay In Toxic Relationships?
We all know people that can suck out every last bit of our energy. Those individuals who are so critical of your efforts or demand your time they leave you feeling worthless and insignificant. You can’t control what type of person may cross your path. However, you do have the power to control how long you allow people to stay on your side of the street. if you choose to invest your time and energy in a toxic relationship, that spells trouble. Deep down, you think you don’t deserve love and support. That this is the best it can be.
The Remedy: To reclaim your self-esteem, make a list of the unique gifts that you offer to others. Post it somewhere you can see. When you get a compliment, add it to the list. Once you recognize and own your gifts, you will be better equipped to attract the supportive and loving people you deserve.

Not losing 10 pounds by your goal date ruined your self-esteem for half a year. Life happens, and it’s not always pretty. We are all touched by illness, death, breakups, and disappointment. The Remedy: By learning to separate normal life setbacks (those that we all face in some form) from your innate abilities and worth is crucial to moving confidently forward. Seeking out support and joining a community of others going through a similar type of crisis can help normalize the experience and get you back on track.
Problem: You’re weren’t successful, you, “Got Lucky”. You dismiss all your accolades as pure luck. It wasn’t your talents, hard work, or dedication that prompted your victories but rather some vague force out in the twilight zone that just happened to touch you and make things happen. The truth is, you earned your success, and failure to recognize this can seriously undermine your future efforts in business and your personal life.
The Remedy: Take some time and write down this statement, “I deserved this success because I, _______” and fill in the blank with the step you had to take to achieve your success If you map out your journey, you’ll see how the route was shaped by what you did — not by “Pices and Virgo rising”.
