 Stress tips: Cut off stress before it gets out of hand  



Stress – a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.

Stress is the body’s way of responding to any kind of demand. It can be due to a good or a bad experience. People often experience stress when there are a lot of things going around them, hence, it is the person’s responsibility on how to properly act and deal with it.

Most common forms of stress:

  • Survival Stress – A common response to danger.
  • Internal Stress – Worrying about things for no reason at all
  • Environmental Stress – Caused by too much crowd, pollution, noise, family and peer pressure
  • Fatigue and Overwork – Caused by too much work load or pressure on studying

  • Aren’t we all a work in progress? 🙂 Sleep is a key factor if you want to reduce stress. I know it’s difficult to get on a sleep schedule, but it’s worth it. I struggle with a set sleeping routine as well. But if I stay on a schedule of 7-8 hours I rock the next day.

  • Overall, my coping mechanisms for stress are fairly decent, but I really struggle with going to bed earlier and getting enough sleep. That being said, being bone-tired half the time really eats into the benefit of the other good stress-relief practices I have in place. As always, I’m a work in progress 😉
